Veneers

Veneer is the term used in dentistry which refers to thin layer of restorative material used to improve the shine of the teeth or protect damaged teeth. Veneers are used mainly by cosmetic dentists to repair a damaged tooth or cover a discoloured tooth. A cosmetic dentist can use the veneers to cover one tooth or several teeth to create a smile makeover. Veneer can be of two types:

Composite veneers
Porcelain Veneers

Composite Veneers or Traditional veneers can be applied in two ways one is directly building up the material in mouth i.e. directly applying the material to the tooth or fabricating them in laboratory and then applying them in the mouth using resin cement as panavia.

On the other hand Porcelain Veneers can only be fabricated in laboratory.
